Geoffrey Miller
From Geoffrey Miller — 7/19/2010
I acted as Project Director/Co-Executive Producer for The War That Made America, a 4 hr PBS mini series about The French and Indian War. I hired all key personnel, managed a $14.7 budget, co-produced the soundtrack, and led all educational and outreach components. In addition, I managed the successful NEH proposal that won a $ 1 million grant, the largest in that year.
I was a senior leader at several companies during the dot.com era including CMGI, Zefer, and Digitas. I also led WGBH’s Interactive Project Group for over 7 years and produced the first season of Where in the World is Carmen San Diego.
From 2007 to November 2008, I consulted directly to Andy Stern, President of SEIU, America’s largest labor union. During this engagement, I helped to reorganize a 120 person Communications Dept. and all of the vendor contracts, led the development of a new $2million web site targeted to become the voice of organized labor. In addition, I led the integration of Web 2.0 tools including social networking, blogs, mobile messaging and web video.
